I started running for fun early 2013 but quickly became more interested in getting faster.
Spent some time researching different training methods and a healthier lifestyle.
Entered the 2 castles race between Warwick and Kenilworth Castle. It was a beautiful race which inspired me to continue running.
My PBs stand as follows:
1 Mile : 00:05:45
5K : 00:20:58
10K : 00:45:00
Half Marathon : 01:38:35
Marathon : 04:08:12
Theres is definite room for improvement and after a strong christmas, maintaining my running I am aiming for PBs across all distances in 2014
‘When you walk, one foot is always on the ground. When you run, most of the time you are actually airborne. For example: a 6-foot-tall runner with feet about 1 foot long was found to take 1,250 steps while running 8-minute miles. Thus, while covering 1 mile—5,280 feet—he was in touch with the ground for 1,250 feet and airborne for 4,030 feet.
Put another way, he was in the air for 76% of the time.
So don’t think of it as a 10-mile run. Think of it as 7 miles of flying.’
